The Borgo of Vicchiomaggio - An authentic retreat among the Castle’s vineyards

After three years of careful restoration, begun in January 2022, the Matta Family is delighted to present the Borgo di Vicchiomaggio: a new haven of tranquility nestled among the Castle’s vineyards.

This small rural hamlet dating back to the early 1900s, once home to local sharecropping families, has been restored to its original splendor while preserving its authentic soul and Tuscan character.

Today, it comprises two traditional farmhouses and two former haylofts, all beautifully renovated, each featuring a private garden and generous spaces dedicated to relaxation. Guests also enjoy access to a panoramic shared swimming pool, immersed in nature and overlooking the gentle hills of Chianti Classico.

Each residence bears the name of the last families who once lived here — Franca, Nando, Marino and Marcella — a tribute to the history and memory of the Borgo.

The villas may be reserved individually or exclusively as a whole Borgo.

Ideal for small groups and intimate celebrations, especially during the spring season.
